The owner, Dale, helped me select an electric fireplace that puts me over the moon! I couldn’t put a gas fireplace in the family room and electric fireplaces have come a long way. The flame is amazingly realistic, the heat it produces is just right … and I love the crackling sound that I can choose. Installation into an existing built-in cabinet was pain free. We purchased our house and it came with a fireplace that was older than 25 years. It definitely needed an update. I searched different companies and came back to Black Hills Fireplace. They came out and looked it over and said that they would get us an estimate. We didn't hear from them, so we went to the store. Not sure what happened in first communication, but I'm so glad we went back. They ordered us a beautiful fireplace and even though they were surprised with what was behind the old one, they got it in. Replacing an old one can have some issues. Make sure you pick a company that can handle any situation. I'm so happy they didn't give up and it looks fantastic. They will show up when they tell you they are coming. After new tile it's more modern. Now to get the mantle done. Thanks to everyone who worked on this project!

Chance did an excellent job cleaning and checking my gas fireplace insert. I have no idea when, or even if, previous owners had ever had it serviced. Chance made the unit look brand new. He also showed me how to adjust the flame.

Does not stand by their work. Once it’s installed you are in your own! We spent over $10000 so it’s not the amount you spend and then you are treated horribly when you call because of the issue.
