If I could give a "0" star I would. After spending several thousand dollars on their powder coated fire pit, it has rusted and corroded within 2 years time. It has rusted externally AND internally. Look at the pictures I posted and you will see for yourself what I'm talking about. As you can see in the photos, every powder coated component of the fire pit suffers from significant oxidation not only at fastener holes (which, overtime will no longer be able to securely retain the fasteners), but also at where the door and the top lid make contact with the body. We do not abuse this fire pit and are always cautious when handling the lid and the door. The fasteners for the base and the "handle" for the lid are surely going to pass through their holes within the next few years at the rate of corrosion we've observed since we purchased this product. The U straps retaining the gas burners are also completely rusted away and are no longer securing the burner to the fire pit. These should have been galvanized or stainless components. When we informed the owner, he refused to do anything about it. In his exact words, "Your fire pit is now 2 years old. I would expect that there will be signs of break down in the powder coating in such a corrosive environment (we live in Houston, TX). Any small scratches or chips caused by use will eventually expose the bare metal and start to corrode." I wish we knew this before we purchased the item. And as you read the owner's full response below, expect your fire pit to rust and corrode both inside and outside. Do not buy.

They are super busy this time of year, apparently. Took awhile before i could even place my order, then waiting for the made-at-order planters. Don’t expect immediate turn around. Super nice people once you get through. EDIT. That was 2018ish, now it's 2021. The planters are totally awesome. That's for sure. I have pretty much forgotten the annoyances I describe earlier, and Covid has made me rethink "waiting". However I'll still be a jerk and withhold the fifth star because of the original experience with very delayed communication.

Awesome fire pit and no camp fire smell anymore! We purchased a 30 Inch Square Cor-Ten Steel model and it is a perfect addition to our deck. We added some lava rocks and the natural gas model creates a perfect blue flame and warmth on those cool and wet evenings in the Pacific Northwest. The fire pit arrived on time and was very simple to connect and get going. The quality is very good and is built to last forever. If you want a quality fire pit that will have your friends asking "I love that, Where did you get it?", then don't hesitate anymore.

Sometimes all we have are reviews to go by when deciding to do business with a company. The reviews here are 1 or 5 stars. I was concerned about the issues the one star rating talked about. My gut feeling told me to give them a try because the savings buying from Bent into Shape were incredible. I ordered a fire pit and fire glass from Curt. Lead time was as I was told but my fire glass was back ordered. I spoke to Curt about an eta and he took the time to find a product of the same color just slightly larger in size and did not upcharge me. That's a five star rating. The glass came a couple of days after the fire pit. I am very happy I went with Bent Into Shape and will purchase from them again.

I am wishing I would have read these google reviews before buying the DeZen fire pit. I believe there are enough poor reviews here to make you think twice about spending this amount of money. I couldn’t agree more with those who speak poorly about customer service after receipt. It was made clear prior to delivery that I would need to completely inspect my fire pit for damages at the time of receipt. I made sure to take off work to be home. The delivery person was patient. I unwrapped the entire fire pit. I removed all the wrap and packaging. I immediately noticed a gouge — a scar inside the bowl (important to note the cover was on top during shipment — so there is zero chance it occurred during shipping). It’s not a small or minor scratch. It’s 3 inches long and about an 1/8” wide. It was even buffed (as if to hide it?), but that only made it look worse. I documented the flaw/damage as instructed and made contact with Curt via phone. He asked me to email pictures — which I did. That was 12 days ago, and I have not heard a single thing from him. No response at all. I emailed him again tonight. Is he just going to ignore me or blow this off? At best this is poor customer service. At worst, this is bad business. Also — my new fire pit cost plenty. It shouldn’t be scarred like this. Sure doesn’t look like that on the website. I don’t have the ability to post a picture, unfortunately. So, Curt, if you want to respond to this, you can post the picture I sent.
