I paid for 2- XXV Harmon pellet stoves in the spring of 2022 to be installed in the fall when stoves came in. Absolutely the worst customer service. I wanted installer to come check to see what kind of piping and exactly find out what needed to be ordered, never happened. Paid over 10, 000$ for the 2 stoves at time of ordering also. I had to wait for stove pipe after stoves came in which was in December. Technician was nice but never available for fixing a problem. I would never give them another dime. Used to be a great place to go, never again.

Have loved supporting this local business over the years. Bought a wood burner in the 90’s and made deposit on one to be installed summer 2024. Unlike most businesses today where we are offered a gratuitous 30 day return policy, Bauer Stoves retained my $500 deposit. This surprised me since they sold me on the fact that we needed to, “buy now so it’s here in time for cold weather. People always come wanting to buy in fall but we can’t get them in time”.

We went into this showroom to find two men shouting at each other. Neither acknowledged us (the way a salesperson may) and kept shouting at each other. We walked around the showroom. A woman came in and offered to help us, but pretty soon she was shouting too. It was hopeless. I just wanted to talk to a sales person about our options and prices. But this store is a hostile environment. I left with a headache. A tip - Bring a flashlight, many of their lights don't work. I used the one on my phone to read some info.

If I could rate it zero stars I would. I ordered a stove in Oct and was told the stove and installation qualified for a 26% tax credit and was given a paper showing how to claim it. I was told the stove would be in mid Nov. Called in Nov and was told mid January. Called January was told it would be a few more weeks but couldn’t guarantee that. I just kept being told it would be on the first shipment from Canada…whenever that was. I asked if the tax credit would still apply and was told the stove I ordered didn’t qualify for the credit and they just found that out “2 minutes ago”. So how many people bought stove from them thinking they would qualify for this tax credit? Maybe they didn’t lie but they should have known the facts before using that as a selling point to make a deal. Any phone conversations I had with them after I ordered (paid nearly half upfront on an $8K stove and materials) they seemed lost and had no idea anything about my order. There’s absolutely no excuses to run a business the way they do. The specialize in stoves and pushed a tax credit they had no idea about.
