After purchasing a fireplace through Alpine we’ve now had to hire a different fireplace company to fix the mistakes. Alpine sent installers out twice telling us how to do set up, placing the fireplace & telling us we were good to go (we weren’t). We’ve called their office multiple times in the past week to come do the final start up & left two voicemails & still haven’t heard back from anyone. We purchased our fireplace months ago & it still isn’t up & running. I don’t like leaving bad reviews for businesses but this has been the biggest nightmare of our whole home renovation so I don’t want anyone else to have this experience. Save yourself the stress & extra money & go with a different fireplace company. I wish we would have.

While it took some time to get an appointment (winter, of course, is their busiest season!), the service was great. Dan (the repair technician) was friendly and knowledgeable. Since it's January-2021 and COVID is still ongoing, he wore a mask upon his arrival and throughout the service. He troubleshot / serviced / cleaned the fireplace and provided some good tips on routine maintenance. Overall, great service.

I called 12/17 and said I needed someone to come out and fix my gas fireplace, there was no spark, it won't start. The man asked me what kind it was so I went downstairs to look. No label I told him. He told me to open the bottom panel and see if there is a sticker or a metal plate. I told him there is neither. He asked me again, "you don't see a sticker or metal plate?" Didn't I just tell him there was none?? Oh, I get it! I'm a woman, I must be a liar and less intelligent than a man. I politely told him again there was none. I could hear him shift in his seat like he was getting irritated and he sharply told me they were only servicing certain brands right now and I need to find out what kind of unit I have. At this point I could see he didn't want to deal with a dumb woman so I said OK I'll find someone else. Rude, rude, rude.
