I was at the end of a DIY project and needed double walled pipes and a wall thimble to safely install my stove. I researched online and called a few other places for some help and wound up down a rabbit hole of bad information. The team at Acme got me on the right track and ordered the specialized fittings I needed to make my unusual setup possible. I just fired it up for the first time and I could not be more pleased.

I had to take them to court to make them honor the warranty for a very expensive stove. They refused to even send a repair tech, even tho it was dumping smoke into the house. Jim Simpkins did nothing but stall and make kissy face.

They do NOT honor warranties. They sold a defective stove and refused to repair or replace it. They refused to even look at it.

Year 3 or 4 and they still haven’t finished the job. Bought a nice stove as our primary heat source and had ACME install. They cut too big a hole in our wall and had to order a new Shield to cover it. Had to wait for a warm day to have it installed and they never followed up, wouldn’t return calls. Then they “lost” the piece and never got a reschedule or any communication from them after that. Turns out the stove is not big enough to heat our home properly, still using additional sources. In between all this they recommended a “woodchuck” to bring us a load of dry seasoned wood that turned out to be WET! Had to buy dry wood from Lowes ($$$$$) to get through the winter and wait till the next year for that load to season. Still have a big gapping hole around my flue. I do not recommend ACME stove

We bought two stoves about 7 years ago from Acme in Cville and had them installed. Due to stricter requirements from our insurance company, we had some issues getting our home insured and compliant with the wood stoves that we had purchased. We reached out Acme Stove. Jennifer wrote a letter describing details such as the heat shield and stove specs. that allowed us to obtain the insurance we needed. After 7 years...that is customer service! Thank you Jennifer and Acme. You come highly recommended!
